Bookings Pack

We want to help you organise your Party as quickly and efficiently as possible so we have put together this pack to help us and you have an enjoyable time instead of a stressful one! After all the party is for you as well.

If you need to ask us questions that are not included in the pack below then feel free to email us or call us and we will do our best to help you. Alternatively you can arrange a meeting with one of the bookings managers so we can go through your personal requirements face to face.

We have several areas available for hire; which can be viewed on our website at To hire an area you will be required to pay a deposit of £50.00 (or £200 when hiring the downstairs bar exclusively), this is to confirm the booking. The deposit will be returned on the following Monday after the party.

General Info

We can do Stag or Hen parties. Smart/ Casual dress code. Smart Trainers allowed no tracksuits, hoodies or hats! Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights are strictly over 21's. (ID in the form of a driving license or passport will be required at front door if you look below this age-no photocopies are accepted).

(No exceptions, please ensure that all of your party are aware of this) bar area capacity is 100 people; we do not accept private functions for less than 100 people. This can vary dependant on which day or time it is Weeknight parties have a minimum bar spend of £800 if when hiring just the bar area exclusively, this may vary dependant on day of party any party, which has our bar exclusively.

If you would like to hire the bar exclusively on a weekend, and you must have a minimum of 100 people at the party at the latest of 1 hour after your booking time. Management reserves the right to refuse admission.


Weekend night bar exclusively hire fee will be higher than weeknights!

The Hoxley & Porter are not held responsible for any incompatibility of equipment with your own and recommend that you visit us prior to your party to test the equipment with yours and ensure it will work on the day or evening of your party.


Deposits must be paid on reservations for over 10-15 people. Deposits should be received at least a week before reservation date. Deposits may be paid by cash or card in person or via phone
(Never send bank details via email for your own security).

Reservations are NOT secured until the deposit has been received, however we will contact you promptly if someone else is looking to book the area you have enquired about. The deposit will be returned to you the first Monday after your reservation. You must contact us by phone, and we will refund the deposit back on to your card. For security, we destroy all card information. Please note that all refunds are subject to rules and regulations*

*Deposits will be withheld for no shows, late cancellations, damage to the reserved area, parties/individuals caught using/supplying drugs or own alcohol. At least half of the booked number of people must be present at the latest of half an hour after booking time.

All of the booking amount must be here within the hour of the booking timeotherwise deposit may be kept.

Example: if you have booked a party for 30 people at 8pm, you must have 15 people at the bar by 8.30pm and all 30 people at the bar by 9pm please note

Food & Drinks

We can offer you a 3 course set menu. I will attach a sample menu to this email. Our menu & prices change for each season of the year. We can offer you both a dining area for food then book you in at our lovely bar area after your meal to enjoy the rest of the evening.

We will also attach our canapés/Buffet menu to any email. With the canapés, it is a min 25 items per tray of the same item. We can also make this into buffet style for you and your guests. Both set menu & canapés/Buffet needs to be pre-ordered at least 2 weeks before your event takes place.

Pre-order of groups 10 or more need to always pre-order via email

We can also offer deals on prosecco & House wines.
We can do bottles of prosecco @ £27 instead of £30pb
House white – everything 4 bottles you buy we give one free bottle - @ £17.00pb
House red - everything 4 bottles you buy we give one free bottle - @ £18.00pb

This also needs to be pre-order at the same time as your food order. We will also need a £50 refundable deposit to secure both areas.

If you would like to go ahead and provisionally book in, can you please forward a contact number and time you would like your booking to start at and what time you would like to move over to the bar area? Please note: on busy time’s weekends / Holidays – bookings of 10 and more get the dining area for 2.5hrs.

Cancellations & Latecomers

Cancellations need to be made at least 14 days before reservation date. Reservations will be held for 15 minutes before being given to the general public, if you are running late please ensure you call and let us know. When possible the individual who made the reservation or a representative, should arrive 15 minutes before reservation time.

The Hoxley & Porter reserves the right of admission and ejection from the premises of any party guest, if it is felt that the guest is unruly, behaving badly or inebriated.
